In the Core Competency Assessment, students are asked to critically interact with the course content in their Trinity program in such a way as to demonstrate that content’s effect on each of Trinity’s Core Competencies as listed in the Trinity Catalog and Student Handbook.
Students may request the Core Competency Assessment (CCA) when they have met the following requirements as confirmed by the Registrar’s Office:
Students have thirty days from the time the Core Competency Assessment is mailed from Trinity to complete and ensure the timely return of the Core Competency Assessment. If there is a delay, it is the responsibility of the student to contact Trinity via email at contact@trinitysem.edu to request an extension beyond thirty days. A grade of “Fail” will be issued if the Core Competency Assessment or appropriate correspondence is not received within 30 days. Appeals may be directed to the Academic Committee. There is a fee for the Core Competency Assessment to be paid at the time of beginning this assessment. (See Appendix Fee Schedule in the Student Handbook.) The Core Competency Assessment must be completed before the degree can be awarded.
